Vaccines and things to know about vaccines
A vaccine is a biological preparation containing the material of a pathogen (Antigen). When introduced into the human or animal body, it stimulates the body to produce an immune state (antibody) that helps the body fight pathogens (Outteridge, 1985).
The basic criteria of the vaccine:
• Does not cause systemic reactions. There is a local reaction, but the disease symptoms disappear 1-2 days after vaccination.
• High and long-lasting preventive effect
• Light-handed injection, low dose, and easy to store
• Reasonable price
